No6 Restaurant, simple, fresh and delicious food.
No 6 in Dorchester, Dorset, is a contemporary restaurant with a convivial atmosphere. Located in North Square this is "the" place to be seen in Dorchester. Offering a great range of locally sourced produce, French Chef Christian Lohez and his wife Sylwia welcome you to their outstanding restaurant which is already very popular with the locals.
On the square
Adding a continental style, the "terrace" is just the place for a fantastic alfresco lunch with friends or colleagues. No 6 is just a stone’s throw away from the town centre - come along, sit outside and sip an aperitif with some juicy, marinated olives. Order your Buckland Newton venison steak, Lyme Bay kings scallops or the freshly delivered Gurnard and indulge yourself with an exceptional dessert. Even, if you are in for a short lunch, there is plenty on the menu to get your taste buds going.
"Everything we do is fresh and absolutely fresh which is why we are different from everybody else. It's all local as well."
Chef Christian Lohez

Good Food
Freshness is the key to the ethos of the house and this is put into action through the daily changing blackboard. The unpretentious cuisine offers a menu that is simple but flavoursome and can be accompanied by a selected house wine or from the wine menu. Fish, meat or seafood, there is enough to satisfy the palate of even the most discerning Dorset connoisseur, but not enough days in the week to try all the offers on the board.

The lunchtime menu offers a classic range of dishes from "Braised Duck Leg" to "Bacon and Liver Casserole", and with the changing menu there is always something new on offer for any diners returning after their first experience.
"I can assure you, the only thing cheap about them is the price"
